  • The kids are such great little travellers! We had a lovely time visiting with Nana and Papa, wishing them well as they depart for Australia and the Asia. It was nice to have them in New Zealand, but apparently there are 1 or 2 cities left on the face of this earth that they have yet to grace.

Waiheke Island is a gorgeous Island a stone's throw from Auckland. Read some books, hit some beaches, caught some fish…you get the idea. Back to reality FOR REAL this time ;)

  • Wow - another amazing NZ weekend! Filled with hikes, beach-combing, BBQs with new friends, and a picnic. While hiking in hills above aqua coloured water, I lost count of the number of times I said "Wow, I LIVE here…!". We tried a new church yesterday and it was more of a rock concert - charismatic preaching and amazing worship music - all in all a joy filled weekend :) We are off to Auckland to see Nana and Papa sail off for good and will update next week!

  • A post seems trivial with the horrific events in Japan…so just a few images of a day out in Wellington…

  • Fall is arriving in Wellington - nooooo, the homes get as cold as the outside temperature so 7C in the mornings is freezing!! We expect some warmer temperatures this week but it was a rude foreshadowing of life in May/June/July.

We are attending a Christchurch fundraiser tonight - NZ opera singers and a choir in a lovely old church - and of course being a capital city, there are endless things to do.

I am happy to report that I sat my PMP exam on the weekend and feel really good about it - FINISHED. I can finally enjoy life in NZ without this weight on my shoulders! Now just to stress about earthquakes - of which we have felt 2 in the last week!

Here are a couple shots of the last 10 days - celebrating an early birthday for Grayson, hiking with Nana, beach time up the Kapiti Coast, and our Kindy "push bike" fundraiser. It has been nice to have Nana and Papa in Wellington but time for them to carry on up North before they head to Australia+Asia!

This was my favourite spot to study down the street, a covered bench on the beach

Aunty Melissa and Uncle Michael got me this Rugby shirt, Rugby sock and a ball. I am going on Day 3 of sleeping in them and wearing them.
