I am embarrassed at the number of photos I am posting…just skim them! We had a wonderful time; kids were superb and we loved the mix of beach time and city sights. What a lovely country where it appears that every religion on earth coexists peacefully. The Malay people were gentle and adored the kids - the very strong Chinese and Indian presence added to our cultural experience.
Being a muslim country, we had to dress quite conservatively and I duly noted the men not initiating conversation with me (Kyle had to order my drinks - also noted the absence of alcohol). Food, amazing. Climate, too hot and sticky. Toilets, don't get me started. I will never forget walking through little India in Kuala Lumpur at dusk, hearing a call to prayer from a neighbouring mosque, and glimpsing the Petronas Towers sparkling in the distance - impossible to capture in a photograph!!
