I really don't have anything of interest to post these days - ha. You know it is time to plan a weekend away when life settles into a {insert adjective here} routine? I would hate to say dull as life is far from dull but life as a stay at home mom can be…well, routine. Life revolves around your kids and you spend your days shuttling to kindergarten, playgroups, gymnastics, swimming, etc…! Filled with simple joys of course, I am NOT complaining but I do have to find something outside of my wonderful family life. Winter is tricky time for sport as it is dark by the time Kyle returns from work, perhaps some weekend or night courses? We shall see. Yes, you can move across the earth and still be faced with 'the mundane'!
Speaking of earth, I highly recommend forcing your children to watch "Hubble - Imax" - likely out on video there? The kids were so fascinated by the imagery and story of exploring our universe - truly amazing.
Here is a picture of our favourite room in the house - it is so cosy with the fireplace on at night! Also a picture of my canvas wrapped "Havana Ladies" shot in Cuba last year…
I haven't thought about photography since we have arrived but my spending habits are getting a bit out of control...between lattes, clothes/boots, housing items - perhaps I should consider bringing in some extra $$ I did however get the chance to snap off a couple shots of my friend's daughter yesterday - Ruby the cutie!
No spectacular images to post, just small joys of children at Easter and our home! It is amazing what new light fixtures and drapes will do to a place (not shown as you don't need to see our messy bedrooms). Kids had a 2 week Easter break from school and are now back and involved in swimming lessons, gymnastics, and French lessons :) We have also found a great church and everything has finally fallen into place - only 4 months in ;)

| Couldn't be happier - yes, I actually purchased a Barbie (but a mermaid one, so not really a real one) |

Sitting in an internet cafe with a quick update (can you believe even Starbucks closes at 5:30 in this country?? ha shame on my North American expectations).
We spent the weekend moving and I have now developed a serious loathing for all things temporary. Packing up once again, shifting boxes, setting up phone/internet (which is going to take another 5 days - this isn't North America people), buying furniture….all for a rental. Kyle keeps reminding me how fortunate we are to be renting in a housing market that continues to fall and that renting requires ZERO house maintenance on the weekends - but I tend to focus on the purple wall paper and orange curtains, the lack of heating, and inability to even hang a coat rack on the wall... There, done with that rant.
We ARE enjoying the new pad!! Kids love it and the layout makes a bit more sense - we heat the house with a fireplace and I hang the laundry out to dry - wait, what year are we in? I will upload pictures whenever we get connected.
So WOW with you Canada!!! We go and leave the country and you drop a political bomb on us!! How we wish to be in Ottawa tonight to feel the VIBE of that city!! I had to race to the internet cafe to read all about it. Amazing. ok…back to my reading!
