Hurray for finding a "home"! After chatting with some great local families, we decided to stay in our current area/neighbourhood. I think we would miss the hustle and bustle - and great coffee - if we hit the burbs at this point in our lives. It is an old (cold, yes likely) villa sans retro style. We are excited about settling down and will post pictures when we move in next weekend. Pictures below are of a hot air balloon festival that we enjoyed on a lovely Fall day today in a community called Levin. Sending love to all of our friends and family this Easter weekend!
We are enjoying gorgeous Fall days this week although last week was freezing!! 10C outside = 10C inside - the heaters are plugged in to say the least. Thank goodness for the sheep in the country - where would I be without wool to keep me warm...
Kyle's contract has turned into permanent work and everything seems to be falling into place - hooray! I am now focused on finding us a longer term rental in an area called Island Bay. The house hunt is proving elusive but I am trying to be patient…still feeling a bit like we are living in limbo.
We did however spend a relaxing weekend at a traditional New Zealand bach on the beach (aka cottage/cabin). Some pictures of life on the beach - of course my only models are my own children at present…
