It has been a frustrating few days of racing around the city trying to get an idea of where we want to live. We have decided to take a short term rental in a funky neighbourhood...for my friends across Canada; much like Kensington, Commercial Drive meets Kitsilano, the Glebe etc...The house is very old and FULL of antique furniture. It is similar to our place in Old Ottawa South in that it will take a month to clean and air out - but it will work for now!! Not to mention, I don't think this house has any resident rodents...we are discouraged at how old and tired the homes are for the price we have to pay - eeeck.
We all adjusted very quickly to both the time change and summer. NZ is unlike Australia in that it isn't as hot as you might expect - it has been blustery and 19-21C the last few days - not like I am complaining!!
Just a few pictures below of the last few days getting to Wellington and in and around.

Congrats Kristen! Sorry we didn't get one last chance to chat before you left. I wish you and the family all the best, I have family on the north island and my mum is always trying to convince the family to move there. I hear it is gorgeous, I look forward to seeing some awesome pictures from you.
Keep in touch!

Well, looks like a slice of paradise compared to home. I'm in Ottawa this week, and believe me, you're not missing anything! Hardly any snow, and everything is dirty and salt caked.....
I'll take 19-21 degrees any time, anywhere.
Have fun on the boat, I fully get how tricky that will be with the wee ones, but at least you'll have grandma!!
Cheers,
Clint.
Love the pics and the update!! Keep 'em coming!!
